Meet The Instructors
Judith L. Bergman M.A. CCC-SLP
Founder & Director

Ms. Bergman has over 38 years of experience serving a variety of persons with communication disorders across diverse settings including private and public schools, hospitals and assisted living centers. She was Director of Speech and Audiology at the Belchertown State School in Massachusetts and an adjunct professor at William Paterson College in Wayne, New Jersey. 

Ms. Bergman  received her third Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association after earning seven ASHA CEUs (Continuing Education Units equal to 70 instructional hours) in a 36 month period. 

Ms. Bergman taught in the Duke University Continuing Studies Evening and Weekend Programs. She taught a new course, Mastering the Idioms of American English Part I: Front Vowels, in the winter of 2009 to six talented "students" from Japan, Mexico, Brazil and Italy.  

The Duke University Department of Physics and Math has been sponsoring her six hour workshop for new international students each August since 2007  as part of the orientation for incoming doctoral candidates. Ms. Bergman taught an updated version, now called, Speaking English with Confidence and Clarity, on August 10, 2009. 

On November 18, 2009 Ms. Bergman was the guest lecturer at an undergraduate class in Phonetics at UNC. 

Ms. Bergman sees clients in her Durham office.

Jennifer Vroom M.S. CCC-SLP
Associate Instructor

vroom3.pngMs. Vroom has provided speech language therapy services for  the past 10 years within both private practice and public school settings. She has a broad range of experience which include hospital settings and accent reduction overseas. She has conducted professional training for fellow Speech Pathologists, students, and professors nationwide on relevant speech therapy tests and materials and served as an editor for a speech-language publication. She has several articles published online.

Ms. Vroom has held her professional certification in Speech Pathology since 2000 with state licenses for both North Carolina and South Carolina. She originally earned her certification as a Compton P-ESL Instructor in 2003. She currently works full-time for Wake County Public Schools. She is available to work with Triangle Speech Services clients at their company locations or at her office in Raleigh in the late afternoon, early evenings and weekends.
